When are you open?
Clonea: Friday 3-9pm, Saturday & Sunday 8.30am - 5pm, Monday 5-9pm.
Kilmurrin: Saturday & Sunday 9am - 3pm.
Dunmore East: Saturday & Sunday 8.30am - 3pm.
Daily times may vary. Please check live sessions on our Book Online page.
Where do I park?
You can park close to the sauna at each location. Clonea Lower Beach car park, close or beside the sauna. Kilmurrin offers plenty of parking beside or close to the sauna. Dunmore East has on street parking in the village, however it can be busy at times so please allow extra time to park and walk to the sauna.
What do I bring?
We recommend you bring swimwear, a towel (or 2) and some water. Sliders or sandals are also helpful.
I've never been in a sauna. Is it for me?
Yes. Most people start with 8 to 10 minutes, step out to cool off or dip in the sea, then go back in. Listen to your body, drink water, and leave whenever you like.
How hot will it be?
We aim to keep the temperature at approximately 90°C but can fluctuate between 80-100°C at times due to the nature of a wood burning stove and weather conditions.
What do I wear?
You can wear swimwear or light loose clothing in the sauna. Wetsuits are too heavy and you will become too hot.
Remove all jewellery and glasses prior to entering the sauna.
Can I bring my child into the sauna with me?
Our saunas are for 16 years upwards only. Please do not book younger children in as entry will be refused.
Can I cancel/reschedule my booking?
Yes, with 24hrs notice. Please log in (or sign-up) on the website and go to 'My Bookings' where you can reschedule or cancel. Please get in touch for partial cancellations.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We run in all weather. If we cancel because of a storm, we'll email you to reschedule or refund.
Do you have changing facilities?
No, we do not have changing facilties. It is best to come prepared and change at your car. We will look after bags and keys for you at the sauna.
Do gift vouchers expire?
Vouchers are valid for 60 months and can be used at any Hot Pod location. Enter the code in the 'Redeem a gift card' box at the checkout, when you book online.
Is the sauna accessible?
There are multiple steps to get into the pod. Each beach has a tarmacadam car park and a slipway down to the beach.
Can I book for a large group/party?

I am pregnant, can I use the sauna?
Sauna is not advised for pregnant women. Please discuss with your doctor prior to booking.
